Torrential Rains damage

Every year the heavy rains bring damage and casualities. This year a very sad accident in the city of Osong, North Chugcheong where a flooded tunnel trapped many cars and buses inside leaving more than 35 people dead.

The heavy downpours inflicted damage on 215 public structures, 68 of which are in North Chungcheong Province, resulting in the destruction of roads, collapses of retaining walls and embankments and landslides.
